The M.S. degree in Geosciences with a concentration in Environmental Geosciences (MS-ENGS) was designed for students interested in graduate study of a broad cross-section of the geosciences. It is a 30-credit hour, non-thesis program offered both on-campus and through online education.
The Teachers in Geoscience emphasis is:
- A 10-course, 30-credit hour program of study includes courses such as meteorology, geology, ocean science, climatology, and environmental geoscience.
- The MS-ENGS Teachers in Geoscience emphasis is reputable, accredited, and flexible.
- The whole degree can be completed online with the exception of the final capstone course. For this course, students typically complete GR 8410 Field Methods Seminar, which is a field-based course offered throughout the country in locations such as Eastern New York; San Salvador Island, Bahamas; Western Washington State, including Mount St. Helens and Mt. Rainier; and the Great Plains Storm Chase.
