MDE (Mississippi Department of Education) requires 6 hours of internship and the certificate only provides 3. The student or the school district will be responsible for the other 3 hours of internship class. If it is not completed, they will receive the certificate and a 3 year non renewable license, but will not be eligible for a 5 year renewable.
