The Center for Distance Education has gathered together a wide variety of library resources available to Distance Education students. Whether you need references for a paper you are writing for class or a free video tutorial on how to do an Excel spreadsheet, you can find it at the library. Distance Education Information Portal

The Mississippi State Library has created this information portal just for you, the distance student. You have access to a wealth of resources to help you with any project including research for your thesis or dissertation. Visit the Distance Education Information Portal page for all of your research and resource needs. There also are video tutorials to help you perfect your computer software skills such as Word Formatting Tips & Tricks, Illustrator 101, and InDesign 101.

Instructional Media Center

The Instructional Media Center (IMC) offers online workshops and tutorials on a wide variety of topics including Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Blackboard Collaborate. Visit the IMC website for handouts and videos on a number of topics. A list of current handouts and an online archive of videos is available for all distance students.

Library YouTube Channel

The Mississippi State University Libraries YouTube channel allows you access to videos on topics ranging from research methods to software tutorials.Some of the software tutorials include Camtasia, Microsoft Office Software, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. There are also videos on how to find online articles and books.
