Program Structure

This 30 credit hour student-specific curriculum requires three courses and allows for the remaining classes to reflect the individualized program of study developed by the student and advisor and stemming from a list of available courses, student interests, educational background, work experience, and needs. Students may choose a thesis or non-thesis route. Thesis students will be required to take a thesis formatting course. This course is not for credit.

Students enrolled in this program may use courses to satisfy continuing education hours for the Mississippi Engineering Board of Registration as well as requirements for Licensed Professional Engineers in other states.

Program of Study Options

The following lists are examples of classes that can be taken in specific areas. These are not all inclusive and do not represent all of the different areas or classes available each semester. Each student must include Engineering Statistics and Project Management on their program of study unless previously completed. Non-thesis students will take GE 8003 MENG capstone and thesis students will take the appropriate thesis hours for their studies.
