The general use template is available to all Mississippi State University faculty and staff that teach an online course. The template is custom made and developed to create an organized and inviting student-experience in Canvas.
Using and Accessing the Template
To access the template, log in to Canvas and select Commons in the Global Navigation. In Commons, search for and select MS State Online General Use Template. On the template page, you can now import the template into your course, utilizing the blue Import/Download button.

Recommendations
We recommend that you always copy the template into a blank Canvas shell before use. Copying the template into a blank shell will allow you to test it prior to using it in a full course and avoids the potential of overwriting any previously created content.
