UCCC and IHL
All programs, minors, certificates or items moving online are required to meet the approval of the University Committee on Courses and Curricula (UCCC). Some items may also require approval by the Mississippi Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL). We have resources to aid faculty and departments in navigating through those processes. Our staff has advanced knowledge of the UCCC and IHL workflows and the paperwork required specifically for online learning.
MSU Online works in conjunction with the Registrar’s Office to help faculty migrate courses and curriculum to an online environment. Our in-house specialists can assist with:
- Assistance with paperwork and course proposals
- Rules and regulations
- Dates and Deadlines
We strongly encourage you to meet with MSU Online staff before submitting any course proposals or other paperwork. It can save you countless hours in the long run. Consultations may be scheduled with individual faculty members or entire departments. Events may be scheduled upon request by the department.
MSU Online offers free timeline development for moving programs and courses online. These timelines are developed with the unique needs of individual departments and faculty in mind and with all the components of taking a course or program online taken into account. You may request as many timelines as needed and the degree of detail you want them to contain.
Our office tracks all courses and programs in the process of moving online. We can inform you of the processes so you can track progress, or we can track it for you as an additional service. MSU Online will inform all interested parties when approvals have been granted.
